It would be so sad to be a kid these days. Even those with parents that don't rob them of real life experiences won't have nearly the same social experience with others that we all had growing up. Technology is so good for so much, but we're taking it too far.

They will never know what it was like to grow up in a small town where nothing happening outside mattered

Thereโ€™s a beauty in a certain type of isolation. We can only take so much information in. Why worry about things so far removed from us?

We have a toddler at home. Instead of entertaining him with our phones and tablets, we bought him audio books and interactive card readers, all physical. He loves to draw, run outside, talks A LOT, and his tantrums are kept at a minimum. Kids DON'T NEED screens.
